theophilus |
2 definitions found From Easton's 1897 Bible Dictionary [easton]: Theophilus lover of God, a Christian, probably a Roman, to whom Luke dedicated both his Gospel (Luke 1:3) and the Acts of the Apostles (1:1). From Hitchcock's Bible Names Dictionary (late 1800's) [hitchcock]: Theophilus, friend of God
