  Peppergrass  \Pep"per*grass`\,  n.  (Bot.) 
  a  Any  herb  of  the  cruciferous  genus  {Lepidium},  especially 
  the  garden  peppergrass,  or  garden  cress,  {Lepidium 
  sativum};  --  called  also  {pepperwort}.  All  the  species 
  have  a  pungent  flavor. 
  b  The  common  pillwort  of  Europe  ({Pilularia  globulifera}).
